The Annual Event Don Bosco R U Day 2017.
The Don Bosco Matunga, R U Day (reunion day) is an annual event held on the Second Saturday of the month of January, at the Don Bosco High School, Matunga – Quadrangle. The past pupils from various batches gather at the event where they meet their old friends and network with their seniors and juniors. This year we had a gathering of around 600 plus numbers, in which the past students, ex-teachers, the Fathers and Brothers who not only have retired from the school but also who had taught us in their prime time and put their hearts out to educate the values of being true citizens and yes how can one forget the present Rector Delegate Fr. Wilfred D’Souza, the Principal Fr. Bernard and the Vice Principal Fr. Roy without whose guidance the function could not have been held.
This year it was held on Saturday the 14th of January 2017.
The event is just a gathering of old friends meeting each other and reliving the fond memories of the school days, those twelve nostalgic years of their lives which were moulded by the Salesian Fathers, Brothers and the ever loved teachers, (which we disliked earlier cos they used to punish us when we broke some cardinal rules at school) but it was these little punishments that has made us what we are today.
It was on the whole an emotional meeting all the friends, fathers, teachers and all this with our family and friends who celebrate the day as lively as ever, with some live performances by Ms. Evita who sang beautiful songs much to the delight of all those present, and had a gala time.
See you next year at the Don Bosco RU Day which will be held in January 2018………..
